Hi, I'm Maggie
During my first pregnancy 5 years ago, I decided to devote a good chunk of my first time parenting prep to researching sleep. I knew having our first child would be life altering in many ways, but I also knew that if I could give my baby the gift of a solid sleep foundation to ensure restful, restorative sleep, our whole family would benefit. Healthy sleep habits are crucial for us as adults and just as important for our children’s well-being; when they are well-rested, they are happier, more playful and engaging, curious and eager to learn, and they can truly thrive.
I taught early childhood for 8 years, and one of the topics that constantly came up at parent teacher conferences was sleep. Oftentimes it was very obvious in the classroom when a child wasn’t getting enough sleep at home; they’d be more irritable, less attentive, restless, and overall less joyful. Developing healthy sleep habits early on truly is a gift we can all give our children. I now have two happy, healthy sleepers (5 years old and 2 years old), and I’ve found immense joy in helping them establish a solid sleep foundation.
After years of working with young families in the classroom, and now my own children (and many friends seeking advice!), I’m eager to support as many families as I can on their journey to achieving the restorative sleep they need to stay energized and function smoothly on a daily basis.
Parenting littles is hard work, but it is so much easier to be present, tackle challenges, and enjoy our time with them when we are all well-rested. In order to best support my clients, I follow a process that allows me to familiarize myself with your unique situation - your child’s personality, your parenting style, your concerns, family dynamics, and your needs and desires. I’ll take in all the necessary information, lay out an easy-to-follow, step-by-step plan, and together, we will make choices about the right approach to help guide your child to successful, independent sleep. Our plan will be customized for you and your child so that you are one hundred percent comfortable putting it into action, and I’ll be there every step of the way with check-ins and guidance, ready to support you.
